1.
To start I will use the demo animated person, Justine. Open 3dsMax and create a plane using the dimensions in the "Readme-SD-B-Justine1.txt".

Assign a material to the plane. Set the self-illumination to 75.

Assign a bitmap to the diffuse channel.

In the "SD-B-Justine1-Color" directory, click on the first .jpg and then click "sequence".

Click on the "summed area" filter toggle. This is optional, but doing this will make the edges look better.

6.
Assign a bitmap to the opacity channel, then load the first .jpg in the "SD-B-Justine1-Alpha" directory and click sequence.

7.
You're done! Render away. :)
